"Don't take our word for it. Read theirs."

Suburban backyard in late summer with restored green lawn and mature oak trees

"Did your yard actually recover?"

Honestly, I was terrified. We have a half-acre with mature oaks and I thought we'd be left with a moonscape. The Ground crew trenched a single access corridor, drilled three vertical loops, and backfilled everything in four days. By Memorial Day the lawn had grown back. You genuinely cannot tell anything happened out there.

"What actually happened to your electric bill?"

Everyone warned me: "your electric bill will skyrocket." It didn't. We were spending $340 a month on propane through January. Last January on ground-source heat pump, our electricity bill went up $74. Net savings: $266 that month alone. Over the full heating season we saved $1,840 compared to the year before.

"How loud is it, really?"

Our old gas furnace sounded like a jet taking off every time it kicked on at 2am. The Ground heat pump sits in the same mechanical room. I have stood next to it while it's running and had a full conversation at normal volume. My kids sleep through the night for the first time in years. It is genuinely quieter than our refrigerator.

"Was it actually worth it?"

We built this house to last fifty years. The Ground team ran the numbers with us: payback period is 7.2 years, then we're essentially heating and cooling for free on the earth's thermal mass. My builder friends keep asking who did our geothermal. I've referred four custom builds to Ground in the last six months.
